Pioneer Day Celebration

These are pictures from the parade yesterday afternoon. The kids had fun with their cousins, they kept busy all day. They had even spent the night Friday night out in the front yard in a tent with cousins. What a blast! Destiny bought a raffle ticket in the new 6th grade classes yard sale and raffle that they have on the 25th of July to help raise money for them to go to Washington D.C. in December. Destiny an I went this past December. Anyway she won a blanket it is white and pink, the pink is actually 3 different shades and it is yarn. I will have to take pictures of it and post them. It is really cute.

24th of July Celebration. Pioneer Days.

Well we have the 24th of July Celebration coming up this weekend, actually on the 25th. They wake us up with 24 blasts of dynamite at 6:00, and then we go have breakfast at the church outside, . Then they have games and races for all age groups, and other family fun, dunking booth, and a photo booth (maybe we will get our pictures taken). Then at 4 we have a parade. The theme this year is "Having fun the Old-Fashioned Way". Then dinner and home. Our first year here we didn't know about the dynamite, and I think we jumped out of bed. Well I will try to take some good pictures and post them as soon as I can.

6 week (supposed to be 4 week) check up.

Well we were in Las Vegas this past Thursday and Friday. David's 4 (LOL) week check up was on Friday. The Doctor told him he could walk without the use of the brace now. It is kindof a walking limp, but at least he is walking without all these other aids. He still has P.T. 3 times a week. We still have to go back to Vegas at least one more time, if not 2. We want to see another knee Doctor there to get a second opinion. Yes I know you usually get those BEFORE surgery, but you do what you got to do when it is workers comp that is taking care of things. Let me tell you that workers comp in Nevada certainly doesn't give you much information, they only give you the bare minimum. You have to keep calling to ask questions, you don't get a pamphlet to rea or nothing, their web site is about the same way. So it is a little stressfull. David is probably going to have to get vocational retraining, and get a different job. His claim adjuster said something about other people with knee injuries not being able to lift more then 25 lbs. because if something happens later on workers comp wouldn't take care of it. Well who knows just have to play it day by day.

July 4th Pictures.

eWell these are some of the pictures. Some of the parade, and the games they played. Also the money scramble where they are gotten wet by fire hoses while they finds the money thrown on the street. I will have to get the rest of them from the parade on here soon.
